In july 1998 The Ingenio Risaralda began the adaptation of quality systems under the guidelines or the NTC-ISO 9002:94, getting in March 1999 The Quality Certification by the ICONTEC.

Our Quality Management is certified by the ICONTEC with regard to the international standard ISO 9001:2000 NTC. This certificate of quality is applicable to the manufacturing activities of granulated sugar, molasses and alcohol.

ENVIROMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Our Environmental Management System is certified by the ICONTEC since june 2003 with regard to the international standard ISO 14001:2004 NTC. This certificate covers the activities of cultivation and harvesting of sugar cane. Manufacture of granulated sugar, molasses and alcohol.

STAMPS OF CONFORMITY

The Products: White Sugar (NTC 611), refined sugar (NTC 778) and special white Sugar (NTC 2085) have Quality Stamps in conform to technical standards in Colombia, which ensures the control of the quality and production.

ISO IEC 17025:2005

Actually we are in the process of accreditation of laboratories of distilling and water with International Standard ISO / IEC 17025, which corresponds to meeting the general requirements for the competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories.

 MANAGEMENT CONTROL SYSTEM AND SAFETY

The BASC is a standard legal framework for the implementation of the Control System and Security Management at BASC, with which the organizations using a methodology of process; plan, implement, monitor and take necessary actions in order to improve their system in an effective way.

 According to the Policies of the Ingenio Risaralda S.A and complying with applicable laws and maintaining good relations with the regulation and control officers, efforts were coordinated and today we are certified with this comprehensive management system and security administration and control of all the activities of the company; to ensure that goods are not contaminated by any foreign substance and the continuous improvement of safety standards applied to the Company.

 KOSHER CERTIFICATE

In accordance with the policies of the Ingenio Risaralda S.A, and competitively seeking to satisfy the customers, providing products and services that meet their needs and expectations, we are certified according to this system of food quality control in relation to the Jewish standards, responding to the biblical and Talmudic rules of the Jewish law.

 The plant is properly audited by the supervisor of the Kosher certification to ensure that certain batches of production achieve these standards and quality specifications required. All this fulfilling the actual laws and maintaining good relations with regulators and control officers.

REGAR PROGRAM

Recognition for Excellence in Environmental Management in Risaralda – REGAR- established by the Corporación Autónoma Regional del Risaralda - CARDER - awarded to the INGENIO RISARALDA in October 19, 2007. This as a mechanism of recognition to the companies that are distinguished by having a practical and excellent development of environmental management processes, which involve the rational use of natural resources and the proper disposal of waste from its production processes, resulting in an improvement of environmental quality of the Department and the quality of life.
