Comunitarian Services

A group of Cane Suppliers, the Foundation for the improvement of productivity in the cultivation of sugarcane FUNDEAGRO and the Ingenio Risaralda continued during 2007 to support the school community in the area of influence. The contributions made by the suppliers during the year 2007 were $ 64,649,740 and the Company made contributions of $ 27,707,031 for a total of $ 92,356,771.

It was provided food for snacks, breakfasts and lunches for $ 56,220,400. 536 school kits were delivered for a total of $ 17,817,600 and 220 school uniforms, valued at $ 8,165,378.

The cost of Repairs for the different schools in the area of influence was $ 49,556,817. For the provision of furniture and household items for school canteens, $ 1,467,600 was invested.

The program evaluation and preservation of visual, developed with 1545 school children from areas affected by the refinery, was in the order of $ 4,980,500 and the project of school Conciliation for conflict management developed in the school Gabriel Trujillo in the village of Caimalito, together in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce of Pereira and Employers for Education, amounted to the sum of $ 8,157,500.

The total investment made during 2007 on Social Responsibility Program: Social Plan - Schools sweet area of influence of Ingenio Risaralda, was $ 146,365,795.

For the year 2008 will continue to support communities and children benefit from the program, reaffirming our social commitment to contribute further to improving the living conditions of children in their educational training.

Contributions to civic and educational organizations

We contribute to various non-profit organizations and charities such as: Corporacion Risaralda Etica, Fundacion Empresarios por la Educacion and others. The Company provides support to children's homes, operating in the La Virginia headquarters of the Cooperative "Progress", by transporting 80 children; most of them children of workers and support for the preparation of food.
